Her musical training began after the family moved to Munich in 1913. She became a pupil of Jacques Stückgold (1877-1953) whom she married, this marriage did not last, and she married Gustav Schützendorf (b) (1886-1931) Ger. Her début took place at Nuremberg (1917), there she stayed for the next five- years. She became a leading soprano in Berlin. Then Covent Gcarden, and New York, and was heard in San Francisco, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
